Ibanez has loaded the S1070PBZ with a variable HSS pickup configuration, where a DiMarzio Tone Zone takes up the bridge position, a DiMarzio True Velvet sits in the middle and a DiMarzio Air Norton sits at the neck. Combine all of that with the five-way selector switch and you gain a world of foundation tones that can be moulded and shaped to match pretty much any genre and playing style. Meanwhile, the mounted Edge-Zero II bridge features a Zero Point tremolo system so you're assured of superior tremolo arm action and solid tuning, no matter how extreme things get.

The neck has an overwhelming eleven-piece construction made up of panga panga, maple, walnut and bubinga.
